| Biography: The King’s 4- Our band name, The king’s 4, means just that, there are 4 of us, and we are for the one and only king, Jesus Christ, and through his will, we will change lives. The King’s 4 consists of Amy 18, Amanda 15, Leo 12, and Rose 10. We are all siblings, who at first started out as a garage band, with a keyboard and a bass guitar, that only worked half of the time. We just played around with those, thinking they were the greatest, but then we got our 12 string Ovation, and that was just plain amazing! By that time all of us decided that we’d form our own band, so next we got a set of drums for Leo, and also a Mandolin. At first, believe me, we sounded pathetic, using an old worn out bass, and a blown out karaoke for an amp, but we had a dream, so we practiced for hours on end, learning as we went. Our first public performance was at church in a guitar choir, followed by talent shows, where we performed songs written by us. Luckily we had gotten better instruments by then, like a great bass, a huge amp, an amazing mixer, and microphones. While all of that was going on we were recording our first CD, a demo, on a little mr8, well actually we didn’t have all of the good instruments then, but we did for our second, and latest CD, “Christening.” Our music is our own, we sing it, play it, write it, and record it ourselves. Our influences are mostly God, and our family, but also the Newsboys, Delirious, the Eagles, the Moody Blues, countless oldies artists, including a few cousins, like the Smoke Ring, and Ricky Nelson. Then there’s also some country artist influences, like Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Merle Haggard, Emmy Lou Harris, and others. It’s pretty obvious that we have a wide range of music. Our music is contemporary Christian Rock, that has it’s own style, it’s a mix of rock, folk, country, oldies, Christian, and I don’t know what else, but it’s very unique. It’s what we love to do, to write our own music, sing it, and play it for God. We hope that everyone will find inspiration from it as we do, we’d like to help people through the hard times of their everyday lives, and keep them in touch with their creator. We’d also love to help people who are less fortunate, suffering from the many sicknesses of the world, homelessness, and hunger. We feel that if we accomplish this, then we’ll truly be successful. |

All band's are driven by a certain drumbeat, and that drumbeat doesn’t always just come from the drummer, as is the situation with the very young and talented King's 4 band, or TK4. Leo, the drummer and only boy in the TK4 band, thoroughly proclaims that the dream in TK4's heart and the heartbeat of their band, comes from God. "We wouldn't be a band without Him, He's everything TK4 is, everything this band wants to be." Said Leo.This young Christian Rock band is made up entirely of siblings, ranging from 18 down to 10, and are very passionate in the music they play and the words they sing. "TK4 has very few songs that don't mention God in them, and of the few that don't mention His name, only one is not entirely about Him, but still connects to Him in a definite way." said Amy, the oldest member of TK4. The King's 4 band hopes to bring more people to God and show them how truly great God's love is. Rose, the youngest member of TK4 at the age of ten, wants to let other young people know that age doesn’t have to stand in the way of a dream, the dream just needs to be pursued. "When TK4 first began, I was afraid I would be left behind, because of my age, but now I am the keyboard player. I still have lots to learn, but I believe that God will give me the strength and knowledge to be his messenger through TK4's music." said Rose. After recording their latest CD, "Christening," TK4 felt their dream really coming alive. "At our first concert, we were so nervous, but as soon as we were done playing, we were stunned. TK4 got a standing ovation, and people were clappin' all over. It was like God had gone through us and touched the crowd. In fact, I believe that's exactly what he did." said Amanda. One of these day's, TK4 may be seen in a town near you, and you will see how much God has truly blessed this young band of siblings. |
