Description: TOGETHER AGAIN
Biography: Solomon Edmond

In one word Solomon’s music can be described as UniverSoul ~ “one universal sound that soothes the soul.“ One of his favorite passages in the bible as it relates to the “ministry’ of music is the story of David and Saul. “Now the Spirit of the LORD had departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD tormented him. Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would be refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.” (I Samuel 16:14, 23) Solomon’s music is a mystically interwoven sound of instruments that bring healing to the soul. His music resonates cross-culturally and has no boundaries. The language of his music is universal. He is a grateful musician that makes no boasts for His musical talent, but credits his Daddy (Jehovah) for blessing him with the ability to do what he does.

A native of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Solomon grew up as a PK (Preacher’s Kid) and was exposed to the ministry of music early in his childhood. He was the oldest of three siblings and began playing the bass guitar at age 15 with his family’s gospel quartet, The Edmond Family. Solomon also loved tickling the ivories. His passion for playing the keyboard would ultimately lead him to a celebrated career as a minister of music.

Indeed, he has much to celebrate. For you see, not only was Solomon gifted to play music, he was also gifted to draw and design. In 1977, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend the Atlanta College of Arts to pursue a degree in graphic design. He was very excited about a promising future as a design artist and dreamed of one day owning his own graphic design company. But little did he know, there would be a divine interruption of his plans one that almost took his life. While attending college, Solomon became deathly ill and had to drop out of school. He moved back home with his parents in South Georgia and was convalescent for several years.

Solomon’s career as a graphic artist did evolve, and as a result of his passion for the arts and his desire to make his dream of owning his own graphic design business a realty, Solex Enterprises was birthed in 2003. His very unique style of art and design has been purposed for excellence nationwide.

In April, 2007, Solomon made his debut to the music industry with his release of Together Again, a soulful compilation of jazz, rooted in gospel with a mild mix of Latin and R&B beats. The CD is a tribute to his first cousin, Jonathan Dubose. They grew up together in Bridgeport. Solomon would go to the basement in Jonathan’s house and play bass while Jonathan played lead. After many years of separation, the two have come Together Again on this project. Jonathan is the baddest guitarist in the land. He has graced the company of many well-known artist from Harry Connick, Jr. to Bishop T.D. jakes. He is also known in the gospel industry as the prophesying guitarist.

Solomon is an instrument played in a key that brings healing to the soul! His music takes you anywhere you want to go!
