Biography: The music on this CD is an assortment of musical atmospheres, reflecting on nature, heaven and earth, and expressing a range of emotions, occasionally playful, sometimes meditative. The first track, "Sing of Salvation," features vocals, but the rest of the songs are primarily instrumental.
The musical group Nuovo Giorno is a family ensemble. In 2005, they moved from a noisy, crowded city to an obscure town in the country. Their music is inspired by the beauty of nature and the bittersweet experience of life. The process of recording this album successfully united the family.
Zion, the primary composer, has been playing piano and keyboards since the age of 7. She comes from a family of musicians and formed Nuovo Giorno with her husband, Arlie (guitar), and two children, Cyrene (keyboard & vocals) and BonJ (percussion). Cyrene is 21 years old, and BonJ is 16.
