Burning Bush asks: "Is there a place for a deep experience in today's musical landscape?"
Los Angeles, CA - Los Angeles-based, singer/songwriter duo/band, Burning Bush,
releases it's latest CD entitled, "Honest Day's Work". A mix of acoustic/eclectic,cosmic/electric sensibilities, this collection of well crafted, classic rock songs is forged in the spirit of inspiration. "We call it 'Deep Pop/Cosmic California Rock" says founder Tom Tierney. "We sing about esoteric truths and everyday struggles. 'The path'and the road that life takes you on." When asked, is that hip?, Tierney replies, "What is hip?"
"Is hip being up on the latest trend in some specific genre or scene, or some flavor of the moment, or is being truly hip, being tuned into why you were born, what you are doing, and where you are going?" Tom continues, "We're not afraid of letting it be beautiful and healing...we've had people come up and say, 'The music moved me to tears', and I'm not just talking about sensitive types, but everyone from businessmen to metal heads to new agers. The role of music is to entertain, of course, but I believe it also has the power to do so much more. All the religions on the planet use music in one way or another to carry their
message. Music is a powerful force. When I got turned on by The Beatles or any of the great bands that influenced me, it was practically a religious experience. It had the power to pull me out of a bad place and inspire me to new heights. Deep down , I think that's what people are really searching for, to be moved in a deep way. If we can give back, even a small percentage of what we have received from music, we will have done our job well."
Burning Bush is currently playing clubs, festivals and venues in and around L.A. The group is fronted by Tom and Dianna Tierney. Tom Tierney, a veteran of the L.A. music scene has landed gigs in signed acts on the Warner Bros. and Virgin (Europe) record labels and has had his music featured on MTV's "Road Rules.
